No my grandmother doesn't have box cars up on blocks in her front yard. Rather, there is a switching yard in front of her house.

December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women in Canada. I believe that these ribbons appeared around campus to comemorate that day and the "sad anniversary of the death of fourteen young women who were tragically killed on December 6, 1989 at l'École Polytechnique de Montréal because of their gender."
